Raspberry, Chocolate & Marshmallow Froyo

I wrote about my instant frozen yogurt before and it’s one of those recipes I just keep on experimenting with. While you can eat it just the way it is, I find it nice to add some ingredients that turn the simple frozen yogurt into a unique dessert. One of my latest creations was this version and although it’s extremely simple to make, I thought it was too good not to share.

To the basic frozen yogurt I added some chocolate pieces (because everything is better with chocolate, but also for a pleasant crunch) and mini marshmallows (for a fun sweet and soft contrast). It’s a delicious combination and much lighter than your ordinary pint of ice cream.

Of course you can vary with the frozen fruits and kind of chocolate you use, or choose a mixture of dark and white chocolate. You could also turn this into a real rocky road dessert, by adding some chopped up cookies and/or nuts as well.

I like to put the mixture in the freezer for at least fifteen minutes, so the texture won’t be too soft and really resembles ice cream.
